Beannachtaí na Nollag agus athbhlian faoi mhaise dhaoibh go léir. We wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. School will reopen on January 5th.
The children were very busy and excited as they prepared for their Christmas performances on Wednesday 17th December. Each class put on a tremendous show and we are very proud of them. Thank you to all the families who came along to enjoy the performances — a great way to start the festive season.
On Friday, 5th December, pupils from 2nd to 6th Class travelled to Cork Opera House to see the pantomime Aladdin. Everyone enjoyed the show and it was a great day out for all.
Thank you to everyone who supported our Coffee Morning and Bake Sale on Friday. We are very grateful for all the delicious home-baked donations and the effort that went into preparing them.
The children had a wonderful morning and really enjoyed choosing and tasting the lovely selection of treats. Thanks again to all who came along and helped make the event a success. Well done to this year’s winners of the Dodgeball League Final, held last Friday, 21st November. Both teams played brilliantly and were cheered on by the whole school.
The Parents' Association of Scoil Bhríde are delighted to announce that we are organising 'Santa's Grotto' which will take place in Ballydehob Community Hall on Sunday 30th November from 12pm - 4pm. The Grotto will be at the side of the hall using the charity shop door entrance. All proceeds will go to the ongoing Scoil Bhríde fundraising for outdoor yard equipment.
Every child will receive a selection box from Santa and an emailed photo, the cost is €10 per child with a maximum of €20 per family. When families purchase their tickets they will be given a time slot, meanwhile you can visit the Craft Fair in the Main Hall while you wait for your visit to Santa. Also, children from 1st - 6th Class will be singing Christmas songs on the stage of the Main Hall at 12pm, so please come along and give them your support! Thank you all for your continued support. The Parents' Association The Parents’ Association and Student Council of Scoil Bhríde are hosting a Fundraising Bake Sale and Coffee Morning on Friday, 28th November, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Everyone is warmly invited to come along, enjoy some delicious treats, have a coffee, and support our school community. Family and friends are most welcome! Thank you for your continued support, Scoil Bhríde Parents’ Association & Student Council Yesterday we had a wonderful day of hurling in Skibbereen where we qualified for the Sciath na Scol Finals Day.
A great day was had and the team showed great spirit and determination. We won the semi final in a tight game against Glandore NS with some fine scores in extra time. Unfortunately it wasn't to be our day and lost the cup final by one point against Reenascreena NS . While the result was disappointing, losing by the smallest of margins, the children wore the jersey with huge spirit and dedication and we as a school are very proud of their efforts. We would like to thank the parents who came and supported, supplying coffees and treats for teachers, players and supporters! Well done to all. Scoil Bhríde Abú! |
