Junior Infants, Senior Infants, and First Class had a fantastic day out today with a trip to the cinema in Bantry. It was a fun and memorable outing for our youngest students!
The children had a fantastic Halloween celebration, enjoying a full day of spooky fun despite the rainy weather! The day was packed with activities – the children raced with pumpkins, followed a festive pumpkin trail, and paraded proudly through the town in costume.
During our Halloween assembly, students performed songs and poems in both English and Irish, adding a special touch to the festivities. The senior room showcased their creative talents with some impressive pumpkin carving, which added to the festive atmosphere It was a day filled with laughter, creativity, and Halloween spirit. Wishing everyone a safe and enjoyable Halloween break! Today, the West Cork Rapid Response team visited our school, bringing along their emergency response jeep. The children were thrilled to climb aboard and explore the vehicle up close. We extend our heartfelt thanks to the volunteers for taking the time to show the students this vital service and for giving them such a memorable experience!
We are incredibly grateful to have had the talented Aisling Drummond with us for the past six weeks, working with the children in Junior, Senior Infants, and First Class. Under her guidance, they've learnt five delightful songs written by local songwriters. Today, we were honored to welcome these songwriters, who graced us with their presence and performed alongside the children, making it a truly memorable occasion.
Congratulations to our First Class pupil for winning a trophy and medal at the recent athletics competition! Well done on your achievements.
